Netword Languages Direct

Netword Languages Direct masthead

Netword Languages Direct is our new ezine which will appear three times a year. It contains information on language teaching, resources, provision and policy for all in further and adult education. This edition contains articles about Adult Education Show, training opportunities, qualifications updates and some case studies of changes in the sector.

CILT Comenius Netword

is part of the Comenius Network. Its brief is to support teachers of languages to adults throughout England. Netword does this by putting on or contributing to regular training and networking opportunities. These take place across the country in collaboration with Comenius regional managers and with other national, local and regional organisations who work with adult teachers and learners. Led by adult education language specialists, meetings are part information and part workshop with plenty of opportunity to network in-between.

At its base in Comenius East Midlands, Quorn, Leicestershire Netword has a collection of resources for teaching languages to adults that teachers can use for reference.

Netword forum

The forum is open to all involved in language teaching in Adult, Further and Continuing Education. It provides an opportunity to engage in national discussions on issues of concern and to feed in any information of interest to fellow professionals throughout the UK.

Publications

The strong link between quality of performance and funding, requires teachers in AE, FE and HE to regularly reassess and update their classroom practice. These CILT publications set the current context and provide guidance and practical support for raising standards in teaching languages to adults.
