Reflections on motivation (RoP6)
Ed. Gary Chambers |
|
Motivation is a pressing concern for everyone in the languages field, not only as a means of stimulating maximum learning but also, more crucially, as a way of encouraging more pupils to continue with a language. Reflections on motivation explores activities which have succeeded in motivating foreign language learners and the rationale behind them. It deals specifically with issues high on current agendas – ICT, vocationally oriented approaches, independent learning, primary languages – and looks at their potential to motivate. Drawing on the work and experience of colleagues in universities, schools and LAs, it provides a blend of theory and practical classroom application. Contents Introduction.
