Breaking the Mould - a working example of the new KS3 curriculum
Given the freedom to break the mould is a very scary concept and sometimes it is easier to just keep on doing what we have always done. But what can we really achieve if we do take the plunge and embrace the freedom of the new National Curriculum for languages? This FREE practical session will demonstrate a worked example of a newly modelled KS3 Scheme of Learning. It aims to bring together the strands of personalisation, creativity, assessment for learning, ICT competencies, learning attributes and global citizenship all under the umbrella of improving French linguistic skill and Francophone cultural understanding. Although the examples are all in French, the concepts and activities can be easily transferred to other languages. So what are you waiting for? It's time to break free... This session will be repeated in Cramlington and Middlesbrough.
