About the event

This national conference looks at the latest issues for language teachers and learners in the 16-19 sector.

Who is the Show for?
The conference is designed for Heads of Languages and languages teachers in the 16-19 sector in AS/A2 and other routes for language learners post 16.  Those involved in consultancy and advisory work in languages will also find attendance very beneficial.


Key themes

Plenary sessions and workshops are planned to cover:

  • Routes into Languages
  • Best Practice in AS and A level teaching
  • Updates on the new 14-19 Diplomas and the new Languages Diploma
  • Workshops alternatives to the traditional offer (International Baccalaureate, alternatives to GCSE, NVQ units at level 3, Asset Languages) 

ICT sessions
Those interested in harnessing developments in technology should find helpful the sessions on developing a VLE for independent on elearning and video-conferencing for A and AS level.

Exhibition
A free exhibition offers the opportunity to browse the latest resources from publishers and exam boards. The exhibition will be open from 09.30 and will close at 14.40. Delegates will have the opportunity to browse the exhibition during registration, coffee breaks and lunch.
