Winner of the G&W Publishing Community Languages Prize

A scheme which meets the demands of present-day multicultural Britain, this project aims to provide certification and encouragement to those students whose native language is not English. In partnership with Haringey Borough Council, the scheme has accredited over 250 students in Somali.
The project allows students to gain a qualification in their own languages and culture and recognition of the role of their native language. Many of those entering the scheme are asylum seekers and refugees as well as second generation speakers.
The Institute of Linguists Languages Services Ltd offers a wide range of services and aims to provide clients with the confidence and skills to communicate effectively.
