This University of Hull module integrates academic and business cultures
and fosters group work and independent learning. Matching linguistic competences
to work expectations is an important element, reinforced by links with
the local business community. The project comprises ten weekly sessions
covering topics such as company structure, business objectives and presentation
techniques in the foreign language.
The module also includes a written report followed by an oral presentation, with business representatives included in the evaluation of the ideas, presentation and language skills. The approach offers an excellent introduction to postgraduate studies and is ideal preparation for the workplace.
