Italiano Si! Si!
Winner of the Italian Embassy Language Prize
This project combines PE
with Italian, using movement as the focus of the lesson pupils listen
carefully to all the instructions and respond physically by performing
the task. All activities are introduced by the key Italian words which
are used throughout the class, these range from counting throws, jumping,
obstacle courses and singing traditional songs. Movements become naturally
associated with words and the children then use the vocabulary in different
contexts in the class.
The American School in London is a co-educational, independent school
with over 1,200 international students.
