About the European Award for Languages | 2007 winners |
The European Award for Languages provides an opportunity for individuals and institutions involved in innovative work in the field of languages education to be recognised and rewarded. It celebrates and promotes languages and language learning and the Association for Language Learning is delighted to be able to support the award in the UK.
The Association for Language Learning (ALL) is the major subject association for teachers of all languages and ALL members come from across the range of professionals who provide or support language teaching and learning in the United Kingdom.
The Association produces journals (including the well-known Language Learning Journal), has an extensive network of local branches and runs national and local in-service training events for teachers and language events for pupils (often in collaboration with partner organisations).
The annual Language World conference is one of the UK's key events for language professionals. ALL also represents its members at national level, providing an independent voice for language teachers in national debate and policy-making.
