La Consejería de Educación en el Reino Unido e Irlanda is part of an initiative of the Spanish Government to promote Spanish language and culture worldwide. It supports the teaching of Spanish al all levels in the UK and Ireland through a variety of activities and publications intended to enhance teaching and improve the motivation of students.

Publications include a magazine for teachers containing creative ideas for the classroom and an on-line weekly publication of authentic texts and activities for students at all levels. Written and audiovisual resources are available from centres in London, Dublin, Edimburgh and Cardiff. Activities include A-level days, teacher training courses and competitions for students.
