Black Country Networks for Excellence launches Comenius Centre Pathfinder has now launched the Comenius Satellite Centre at Wolverhampton Science Park. The launch event which took place on September 30th was attended by local, regional and national partners including the national and regional managers for the Comenius Network, the Spanish Embassy, the Association of Language Learning, the BBC, the local LSC and many teachers and tutors who have been part of previous Pathfinder activities. Guests were able to see the new Comenius Centre and browse the services and resources available while enjoying light refreshments. Songs for European Day of Languages September 26 is the European Day of Languages. To celebrate we have made three three songs available – one each in French, German and Spanish. These are from a CD of songs recorded by some of the Foreign Language Assistants who were with Birmingham schools last year. They are children’s songs, and very short – ideal to have your pupils learn them on the European Day of Languages. You might even organise a competition to see how quickly children can learn one, or all three songs. |
