Comenius West Midlands is a partnership between the Birmingham Advisory and Support Service and the Black Country School Improvement Partnership whose major partners are Black Country Learning and Skills Council and the Black Country 14-19 Pathfinder.

The two resource bases offer support for teachers and learners of Foreign Languages across the whole of the West Midlands including:

• well-stocked resources collections including ICT and Internet access, available for individual consultation; departmental meetings and teacher days;

• a range of courses and conferences, including language days delivered by national partners;

• tailor-made support, including pre- and post-OfSTED consultancy and classroom-based collaboration, for all involved in teaching MFL;

• Regional Support Groups for Early Language Learning
