Community Languages Forum
The community-languages forum is an e-mail discussion group for all those involved in the teaching of community languages. The aim of the forum is to provide information, support professional development at all levels and facilitate networking between colleagues. All contributions related to the field of community languages are welcomed.

You must register a Mailtalk password before you can contribute. Click on "Subscriber's Corner" then "Set Password" and follow instructions given. After receiving your password choose COMMUNITY-LANGUAGES from the list names and select "subscribe".

SSAT Language Networks
These network pages are a new initiative to share teaching materials and resources among teachers of community languages. For ideas specific to the teaching of Urdu, Panjabi, Turkish and for generic ideas, visit the community languages network pages.

Supplementary Schools Network
A website enabling resources to be developed, shared and improved between schools in many different settings across the country. Once registered on the site you can share work, develop resources, discuss and develop your colleagues work, share views and obtain guidance.

ALL Community Language Committees.
The Association for Language Learning (ALL) is the major subject association for those involved in teaching all foreign languages at all levels.
ALL have numerous committees for community languages. Click on the above link for information about these committees and how to join ALL.

New Arabic Network
The Association for Language Learning, British Council and Specialist Schools and Academies Trust have set up an Arabic Network following the successful launch conference in March 2006. If you are involved in teaching Arabic language and culture and would like to join the email discussion list, offering regular information updates and networking opportunities, please contact Linda Parker at lindap@all-languages.org.uk

National Association for Language Development in the Curriculum (NALDIC)
The UK professional body for all those interested in raising the achievement of bilingual pupils with English as an Additional Language. It provides a professional forum for:
- Teaching and learning of English as an Additional Language
- Supporting bilingualism
- Raising the achievement of ethnic minority learners
- The development and understanding of this field of education
