National Conference on Mentoring – Training Teachers of Community Languages

About the event
This is the first one day National Conference on Mentoring for Community Languages which is being held as part of the DCSF Our Languages project. This conference, which is being jointly organized by CILT and London Metropolitan University, will explore good practice in school-based mentoring for ITE and seek to create opportunities to support Initial Teacher Education in Community Languages. It is a free event, but registration is necessary.
Who is the Conference for?
The conference is designed for primary and secondary community languages teachers who have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and are interested in becoming mentors. Current mentors, Heads of Language Departments, ASTs and ITT coordinators are also targetted. A second strand of the conference looking at policy implications will be of particular interest to Language Advisers, PGCE Course tutors, EBITT providers and stakeholders.
