Mary Glasgow Trust Award

The Mary Glasgow Language Trust is an independent registered charity, set up in 1978 by Mary Glasgow CBE, and continues in memory of her and her tireless work in promoting the cause of modern language teaching and learning. The Trust has supported teachers and researchers through grants to individuals, through its earlier Teacher Fellowship Scheme, and in recent years through its annual School Award for successful innovation in language teaching and learning in the age range 5–19.

In choosing the recipent of this year's £1000 award, the Trust has applied the key criteria of its School Award scheme: successful innovation, a whole school/college dimension, a sound basis for further development and potential for application by other teachers and institutions.
