LinguaBat Challenge Example

Yummy is a hungry LinguaBat. She loves to eat and drink and has travelled the world to try all the delicacies on offer. In Japan on a small island called Miyajima a famous chef treated her to a 12 course dinner with lots of delicious fish. She had no hesitation in thanking the chef saying gochisosama deshita - what a wonderful feast!

This large meal gave Yummy enough energy to fly all the way to Germany where she spent a restful night in a beautiful Bavarian guesthouse – she was truly exhausted after all that flying. The next morning she enjoyed more than her fair share of the buffet breakfast but still managed to join the locals for a zweites Frühstück (second breakfast) of muesli bars and fresh Apfelsaft (apple juice).

Then it was off to France for a whirlwind tour of the vineyards and a taste of over 350 different cheeses – bon appétit! Heading northwards Yummy was tempted to stop off for a cream tea in Devon but really had had a lot of cheese and Yummy the chauve-souris was in a hurry.

She had a date with Bjorn the fladdermus, a very stylish young bat from Stockholm with a wonderful singing voice. Late in the afternoon they met for fika at a famous tea shop in the old town and Yummy could not resist the delicious homemade cakes.

Then in the evening when all the other LinguaBats were going out to play, Yummy realised she was so full she could not fly – but at least she was not hungry any more!

The LinguaBat is a very special creature with many talents.  LinguaBats love flying around the world making friends and picking up words and phrases as they go along.

Can you help identify their favourite words by taking the LinguaBat challenge?
