How can I get involved?You can celebrate EDL doing just about anything - just look at the EDL characters and how they will be spending the day! Send a greeting card to mark the occasion; play an interactive game with the Council of Europe's 46 member states or hunt for language treasures! Many primaries schools will be celebrating the European Day of Languages for the first time. CILT has pulled together a few ideas for primary activities to get you started. Anyone working with teenagers in secondary/FE/14-19 sectors might also be interested in free posters, postcards, factsheets, and other Languages Work goodies designed to highlight to teenagers the advantages of language skills later in life.
