Further and adult education

Further and Adult Education serves both young people and adults and strives to meet a wide range of learner needs and aspirations as well as to meet government targets and  adapt to changing funding priorities.

Teachers of languages in further and adult education have to be particularly flexible and innovative, teaching 16-19 year olds on academic and vocational programmes, adults – unemployed, employed and retired – on academic, vocational and non-accredited programmes as well as developing and delivering language training to those who need languages for work.
