As part of their Adult Learners' Week in May the National
Institute of Adult Continuing Education (NIACE) conducted their
annual survey of adult participation in learning. The survey -
Narrowing
Participation - shows that the proportion of adults
currently learning, or having done so in the last three years, has
risen by one per cent from 38 per cent in 2008 to 39 per cent in
2009.
This year CILT were able to include a number of questions within
the survey on language learning. A report detailing the findings
