The European Day of Languages (EDL), a
Council of Europe initiative, is held annually on the 26 September
to celebrate language and cultural diversity. CILT has made a range of European Day of Languages
resources available to anyone interested in marking the Day. These
resources can be used to promote languages throughout the
year.
All CILT’s EDL resources can be ordered via the online shop. Resources available include Starter
Packs, EDL badges, T-shirts, Balloons, Pens and Class sets of
stickers and posters.
Languages Work has
also created a number of resources which support the promotion of
the true value of languages in the workplace and beyond. They are
designed to help students who are making choices about GCSE or
A-Level options, college or university courses, or those who are
thinking about what career to go for using their languages.
Languages Work is also designed to help careers advisers, teachers
and parents provide guidance on the use of languages at work and at
play.
Many of the Languages Work products can be ordered free of charge
in hard copy, including our factsheets, posters and postcards.
