From cross-curricular links at KS2, to the latest trends at A-Level: Make the most of CILT’s training and events!

There’s a lot going on at CILT at the moment, and plenty of opportunities for you to brush up on your skills and learn about the latest trends in MFL teaching across all levels.

First up is one of our prestigious primary CPD events: ‘Beyond the Cuddly Toy’ . Held at the CILT offices on 17 June, this one-day course is a chance for anyone involved in teaching languages in the primary school to find new ways of engaging with students.

For those who are just about to, or are in the early stages of implementing languages into the primary classroom, our course ‘Starting Out’ may be more relevant. Happening at CILT on 1 July, it’ll give you plenty of practical advice and the support you need to get languages up and running.

If it’s A-Level language teaching you’re involved with, then you’ve still got time to register for our excellent and very well-respected A Level Language Teachers’ Conference, happening at the end of June in London.

This annual national conference will not only help you recruit more students to your courses, it will give you lots of practical advice on how to liven up your classes, and how to best prepare your students for their exams.

Our aim is to provide as much help and support to teachers across the UK who are helping to make languages matter to young people. We’ve still got a few places on all the courses mentioned above, and lots more happening throughout the year. Look at our events pages for more.
