CILT, the National Centre for
Languages, is pleased to announce the launch of CILT Plus, a unique
community of teachers and language professionals who want to
inspire and develop our future generations of language
speakers.
CILT Plus has been developed to offer
something ‘extra’ to language professionals, particularly those in
the primary sector who are either in the process of introducing
languages, or who want to develop the languages offering in their
school. CILT is inviting teachers to join the community either as
part of a school or as an individual, in order to take advantage of
the professional support, online training, discounts and
inspiration it will provide.
‘CILT Plus could be just what the world
of primary languages is waiting for. We want to build on the
excellent work that is going on in schools across the country, and
ensure that teachers feel fully supported along the way. We want as
many people as possible to be a part of it, and share in the
expertise that the community will offer,’ said Therese Comfort,
Head of Primary Languages at CILT.
Anyone joining CILT Plus will receive
the termly magazine Be Inspired, online CPD, access to a dedicated
website full of support and guidance, discounts on CILT events and
resources and a place to share ideas. What’s more, as a special
promotional offer, we are entering every school that signs up
between now and the end of July into a prize draw to win an
iPad.
