The complete 4-CD set of Tools for Schools French is now available to order from CILT’s online shop. These unique ready-to-use interactive whiteboard materials give teachers the tools they need to teach French to pupils in Years 3-6.

Tools for Schools includes graphics, stories, games and audio files especially designed to follow the Schemes of Work developed by CILT and the QCA, saving teachers hours of preparation time. The CDs can be bought separately or as a complete set, with each CD providing material for a full year’s teaching.

The resources provide much needed support for primary schools, as take-up of languages continues to rise. CILT’s Primary Languages survey published in September 2010 found that in the vast majority of local authorities (96 out of 100), between 81% and 100% of schools are now teaching primary languages within class time.

CILT provides a wide range of support for primary school teachers, including a series of CPD events, the annual CILT Primary Languages Show, and a dedicated Primary Languages website.
