The European Centre for Modern Languages (ECML) is an
international body that supports the implementation of language
education policies based on the recommendations of the Council of
Europe. It aims to facilitate and stimulate discussion around
language learning by inviting language experts, trainers and
researchers to participate in workshops around Europe.
We are currently looking for a delegate to
represent the UK in the first ECML workshop of 2010, ‘Guidelines
for university language testing (GULT)’, which will take place on
26-28 May in Graz, Austria. You will need to have been involved in
decision making for language testing – and will most likely be
examination coordinators or specialists in university language
testing. It’s an opportunity to share your expertise and discuss
ideas in an international context.
If you are interested in putting yourself
forward for this workshop, please get in touch. CILT is responsible
for nominating the UK delegate, so you will need to write to Alice
at Alice.Moran@cilt.org.uk to
request an application form. This form should completed and send
back to us by 9th March.
