Funding opportunities for primary project
abroad
The British Council has released a new 5th
November funding deadline for CILT’s Primary Teachers’ Project,
which gives teachers the chance to spend two weeks abroad improving
their language skills and picking up new teaching ideas to take
back to the primary classroom.
The projects will take place in Germany,
France and Spain in the 2011 spring term and Easter break. Teachers
spend one week receiving intensive language and methodology
training and one week on a work shadowing placement in a primary
school.
Teachers can apply for EU Comenius funding of
up to 2,500 euros for travel and subsistence. A contribution of
£525 towards supply cover is also available.
The deadline for funding is Friday 5
November. To find out more, visit our Primary Teachers’
Project webpage.
