We are very pleased to announce that CILT is now working with the British Council to develop and deliver a 2-Week Primary Teachers’ project.

We hope to build on the excellent work many LAs in England  have been involved in when working with the British Council over the last 5 years. The project, which is funded by the DCSF as a complement to part of the EU’s Comenius Programme in the UK, will continue to provide the opportunity for primary teachers to go to France, Germany and Spain to improve their language and pedagogical skills and cultural understanding.

The visits will take place in France, Germany and Spain during two consecutive weeks of the academic year 2010-2011. The first week focuses on intensive language and methodology support, whilst the second week provides teachers with exciting opportunities to find out about daily routines in primary schools.  This time spent in school will enable teachers  to reflect on primary school teaching in different countries.
