Learning a Language - Gateway to a Great
Career
Learning another language is one of the best ways to fast track
your career or get on the career ladder in the first place.
You can find out all about the opportunities and advantages it
brings by visiting this year’s SkillsLondon 2010. CILT,
the National Centre for Languages will be giving a languages
presentation at the show, the UK’s biggest careers and skills event
for young people, and providing information throughout the three
day event.
Anne Marie Graham, CILT’s Head of Skills, Business and Adult
Learning, said: “Young people today are faced with a wealth of
subjects and career routes, which can often be daunting. Events
like SkillsLondon enable us to offer individuals and groups
up-to-date information, based on labour market intelligence, about
how language and intercultural skills can add value to your chosen
career, regardless of the sector you want to work in’.
Filled with opportunities to interact with the world of work,
talking directly to employers or listening to expert speakers,
SkillsLondon 2010 is a great way to find out specific
information about a career you are interested in exploring, or to
