To make the case for languages and for the
benefit of a wide range of audiences, CILT conducts and commissions
quantitative and qualitative research each year to collate, analyse
and present objective information. Our research activities also aim
to build bridges between policy making, academic research and
professional practice in the world of languages.
As the National Centre for Languages, CILT is
regularly invited to join partners in the UK and overseas, in
particular, generic research institutes, to offer niche expertise
for investigative and evaluative research in a range of aspects of
language teaching and learning and other language-related
topics.
