For the past few years we have tried to make as many of the
printed EDL resources (posters, postcards etc) available for you to
download and print. We still love them and so, to celebrate the
10th anniversary of the European Day of Languages, we are featuring
many of our favourites here as part of our top 10 EDL
downloads.
1. EDL characters
We love our
EDL A-Z characters - they first appeared in 2005 and are available
here for you to download.
2. EDL logo
You can use the EDL
logos on your own promotional materials, posters and
invitations.
3. Desktop wallpaper
Download
EDL desktop wallpapers to keep you in the EDL mood when you're
working on your computer.
4. Sheets of 'hello'
stickers
You can print these onto address labels and use
as stickers or badges!
5. EDL posters and
postcards
Here you'll find a variety of EDL posters and
postcards from EDL celebrations over the years.
6. EDL poster game
(2006)
Download the EDL poster game, featuring all
of the EDL characters, and have fun with languages!
7. Pronunciation
guide (PDF 157KB)
To help you make the most of the CILT resources we have produced a
pronunciation guide. This is not a phonetic transcription of the
'hellos' or indeed an English 'translation' so there may be other
ways of presenting the pronunciations but hopefully it will help
you say hello in all the different languages, whether or not you
are familiar with them.
8.
Languages Work classroom activities
Languages Work has
produced a wide selection of resources to help inform young
people about using languages in the workplace.
9. Europass iPhone app
Download
the free Europass Language Passport iPhone Application.
10. Resources from the European
Commission Representation in the UK
The
European Commission Representation in the UK have fun and
useful classroom resources available to download and order
free of charge from their website.
