The wait is finally over for Year 9 pupils at the Grove
School in Newark as the winners of their ‘Dragon’s Den’ language
project were announced recently.
Fifteen teams of students had to pitch their
ideas on why they should study languages to groups of judges at the
Newark Beacon last month and after plenty of deliberation by the
judging panel the winning team were announced.
LLL – otherwise known as Josh James, Freyja
Perkins, Katie Walton, Harriet Clarke and Hayley Braithwaite –
walked away with the prize and the chance to visit the Newark
Business Club to show their materials and presentation to local
business people.
