If you read my April BLC blog post
about the value of linking science with languages, then you might
be interested to hear about an online resource that provides
details of five fun experiments, which you can
easily carry out in the classroom.
Each experiment is explained in French, German and Spanish (as
well as English) making them ready-to-use languages tasks with a
scientific theme.
These experiments are perfect to get science lovers into
languages and vice versa and would make a fun and entertaining
activity for European Day of Languages.
The activities include a draughts trick experiment, a pulp
friction experiment and a noisy coat hangers experiment. All
are explained simply and with pictures so they can be used by a
wide range of age groups.
Please let us know if you have had any success with linking the
two subjects or if you have any science and language resources
which you would like to share.
