What is BLC?
Business Language Champions
supports schools and businesses to work together to motivate and
inspire young people in the UK to learn languages for work.
The programme is sponsored by the Department for Children, Schools
and Families (DCSF) and is run with the help of regional and
national partners.
Who is BLC for?
The programme concentrates
on inspiring 11-16 year olds to continue with language learning and
involves employers, from across all sectors, who recognise the
importance of language and intercultural skills to successful
business.
How big is BLC?
Over 150 businesses from
across the UK have been Business Language
Champions, with many working with more than one
school and returning year after year to inspire new groups of
students.
