CILT provides a number of free email discussion lists. These enable language teaching professionals to:
- exchange ideas
- comment on materials
- ask each other questions
- share problems and challenges
- discuss issues of policy and promotion
- keep up to date with what's going on.
Many teachers and trainers who already subscribe to discussion lists find them an invaluable source of professional updating. The lists are open to anyone who is interested and everyone is welcome to join.

This is a discussion group for all those involved in language teaching and research. It aims to enable discussion and information exchange on the subject of teaching modern foreign languages, primarily in schools and sixth forms in the UK.

The ITTMFL forum is open to all involved in training MFL teachers. It aims to generate discussion, information exchange and mutual support for providers of teacher training, both in universities and in school-based programmes.
