SLN Action Plans
Information for Lead Professionals and Lead Schools
The following information is aimed at Local Authority Lead Professionals and the Lead Teacher of the Strategic Learning Networks (SLN).
Phase two (2008-9) evaluation
This provides an opportunity for the members of each SLN to revisit the Phase 2 action plan and reflect on the impact of SLN activity. We are particularly interested in how the work of each SLN had (measurable) impact on pupil achievement.
We have requested that Lead Teachers carry the evaluation out in consultation with all members of the SLN and the Lead Professional before returning a copy to the relevant Regional Trainer by 13 March 2009.
Download the evaluation questionnaire (doc, 263KB). You can also access an additional copy of the evaluation with extra guidance notes (doc, 290 KB)
If you have any difficulties accessing these documents please contact jodie.martin@cilt.org.uk.
Phase two (2008-9) action plan
All SLNs are requested to submit an action plan for Phase 2 to help the SLN maintain a clear focus on the main purposes of the Programme. In most instances it is not expected that an SLN will undertake a wholesale rewriting of the Phase 1 action plan.
Download
- the action plan template (doc, 261KB)
- an example of the action plan (doc, 237KB)
- action plan guidance (doc, 239KB)
Phase 2 action plans should be agreed with the headteacher from the Lead School as well as Local Authority Lead Professionals before being submitted to the relevant Regional Trainer. The deadline for receiving completed plans is 9 June 2008.
The Lead Teacher guidance document (doc, 307KB) aims to provide advice and support for Lead Teachers in MFL Strategic Learning Networks. It examines some of the issues that may arise for Lead Teachers as they work with a group of MFL teachers from other schools and how they can organise the activities they have planned for the SLN, including a possible agenda for a launch meeting for the network.
