- Association for Language Learning (ALL)
ALL is the UK's major subject association for teachers of foreign languages. ALL is committed to the professional development of teachers of languages and the promotion of language learning and teaching. ALL is leading the programme of support for languages for the new secondary curriculum.
- The Centre for the Use of Research and Evidence in Education (CUREE)
CUREE developed the national framework for mentoring and coaching, along with other resources. The centre supports and develops the effective use of research and evidence in education.

The DCSF website is dedicated to language teaching and learning to encourage more people than ever before to learn a language. Information on The National Languages Strategy, Languages in Schools, Further, Higher Education and Adult learning are featured.
- General Teaching Council for England (GTC)
The GTC provide an opportunity for teachers to shape the development of education policy, through regular consultation with teachers via a programme of events, consultative seminars and the website.
- National College for School Leadership (NCSL)
NCSL supports current and future school leaders, by producing relevant research, online learning and running strategy programmes.
- National Strategies CPD Environment
The NS CPD pages provide an online CPD Environment for Regional Advisers, Local Authority Strategy Teams, teachers, practitioners and School Management Teams. The site includes the KS3 MFL online nuggets.
- Primary National Strategy
The Primary National Strategy supports teachers and schools to raise standards across the whole curriculum. This may be of interest for teachers considering the teaching and learning transition between KS2 and KS3.
- Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) - Key Stage 3 Review
The QCA is responsible for maintaining and developing the National Curriculum and associated assessments, tests and examinations. The link is to a page specifically about Key Stage 3 modern foreign languages.

SFA produce a comprehensive literacy programme from Nursery through
to KS3, using a co-operative approach to learning. All the literacy planning is written
for the teachers to ensure a systematic and structured whole-school approach
which meets all the requirements of the National Literacy Strategy.
- Secondary National Strategy (SNS) - KS3
This sites aims to provide clear information about the Key Stage 3 strategy, publish policy documents and key elements of the Strategy online for free download and provide help and guidance to teachers and school managers who are involved in implementing the Strategy.
- Specialist Schools and Academies Trust (SSAT)
SSAT is delivering the Government's Specialist Schools and Academies programme. The Government's aim is that by 2008 all schools will be specialist, except those planned to be Academies.
- The Teaching and Development Agency (TDA)
The purpose of the TDA is to raise standards in schools by attracting able and committed people to teaching and by improving the quality of teacher training in the UK. Information on all aspects of becoming a teacher and the different routes into teaching are available.

TeacherNet brings together education resources and information. The site points to websites and online research databases for finding research reports, articles and stats as well as holding a searchable database of the Best Practice Research Scholarships research reports.
- Teachers’ TV - MFL
Teachers’ TV is available on Sky, Cable and Freeview television, producing programmes and resources for all involved in education. The website features over 1000 videos available to stream or download, which can be filtered by ‘MFL’ and ‘secondary’.
