CILT Support for Language Colleges
Regional events focussing on primary languages co-ordinated by SLCs
CILT supports SLCs in sharing good practice with other schools in the local area. This includes supporting feeder primary schools in delivering language learning for primary pupils and assistance for primary teachers who are new to language teaching.
Please view our guidance material about setting up regional meetings, created especially for the SLC KS2 agenda.

Reports and case studies
We welcome reports from SLCs which have hosted a regional event.
- Altrincham Grammar School for Girls: a report on their regional primary language conference - 26 April 2007 (doc, 28KB) You will see that this was a highly successful event which dealt with local issues at a local level but nevertheless reflecting on key national messages.
Please do also look at how CILT is supporting work at key stage 3 and 14-19. SLCs play a crucial role in these projects and there are already many regional events going on which you can become involved in.
