Welcome to the first edition of CNS Weekly, a regular e-mail detailing the week's main languages news story. The service replaces messages from the National Languages Forum and is part of the CILT News Service launched today (21 February 2007) to mark International Mother Language Day.

The Service (CNS) also includes media coverage of language issues, a news archive and an RSS feed which updates your newsreader with all the latest news items as they are posted on the CILT website. On-line articles as well as interviews and discussions around languages can be accessed via the Coverage and Interviews areas and there is an improved on-line press office for media contacts.

We hope that you will enjoy CNS Weekly and indeed other elements of the CILT News Service, however, should you wish to unsubscribe at any point please e-mail press@cilt.org.uk.

Best wishes,

Tamzin Caffrey
Press and PR Manager
