Listing your research

The database on the previous version of this site was divided into two parts. Please see whichever section below matches most closely your area of research.

Language teaching and learning

We define this as research which is primarily concerned with the teaching and learning of all modern foreign languages across sectors including language policy (including ESOL).

The main site which we would now recommend for submitting information about your research is Current Educational Research in the UK (CERUK), a site run by the NFER with sponsorship from the DfES and the EPPI-Centre. We would strongly recommend CERUK for all projects which come under this theme, as it is already well-populated and supported by the DfES. Additionally, it already has a great deal of language-related research listed, and the database format is very similar in structure to that of our site previously. This means that copying the details of your research across to it should be a relatively painless process.

Humanities/social sciences-based research in Romance and Germanic languages

We define this broad research category as being humanities or social sciences-based and in Romance and Germanic languages.

We are not aware of any specific "one-stop-shop" websites for listing research falling under this category. We therefore suggest you contact the relevant subject association and ask their advice on where to list it. Alternatively, you may find some of the links provided on the Related Links page of interest.
