Language Network Northern Ireland

LN NI has been set up to change public and private sector attitudes to language and culture and to bring about an improvement which will benefit business and employment. Our aim is to facilitate the development of a language strategy for Northern Ireland and to assist in its implementation. We are also here to help you by providing advice and information on language and cultural issues for business and careers. We hope that our webpages will answer your questions but you can also contact us directly.

New Europe - New Faces
On 1 May 2004, ten new countries joined the European Union. The new member states will broaden the European Union's cultural and linguistic diversity and the new languages are being celebrated in several ways. In Northern Ireland, a number of activities took place in April and May to celebrate the new Europe and introduce the new member states. Language Network Northern Ireland has also written a guide introducing the new member states, which you can download from this site.
