Regional Language Network South East

The Regional Language Network South East – supported by CILT, the National Centre for Languages – promotes a greater capability in language and cultural skills for business and employment. The Regional Language Network Manager is working with South East stakeholders to develop a Language Plan for improved international communication for the region’s businesses and organisations. Key initiatives and activities include:

· BLIS Services, a one-stop for language and cultural expertise, enabling access to quality-assured language professionals, bilingual jobseekers, and language-related facilities and courses.
· signposting and guidance to information and events on international communication
· opportunities for improved communication between employers and language professionals for international trade, inward investment and the public sector;
· dissemination of case studies demonstrating the positive impact of international communication strategies in business partnerships with employers, employer bodies and South East stakeholders;
· development of a one-stop shop for a virtual language community.
