Truckspeak TM vocational language training for truck drivers
The Centre for Enterprise and Business Development at Canterbury Christchurch
University College has bid successfully for Leonardo da Vinci funding
for a second phase of the Truckspeak TM project.
Between November 2001 and October 2003 partners from UK, Poland, Bulgaria, France, Belgium and Holland developed a language package for truck drivers including language prompt card and a language course.
The new project will run from October 2004 to March 2007. It will enable the Partnership with two additional partners in Spain and the UK to transfer and localise the language course and test it in Vocational Training Organisations in all partner countries. Learner support guidelines and an on-line assessment tool will be developed with a view to accreditation.
