Rachel Hawkes and Agnieszka Barcz-Morgan
In this series of clips, staff involved in
teaching the CoPE International Award course describe what is
involved in the portfolio building process and how the learning of
Spanish ab initio and a trip to a Spanish partner school fit into
the portfolio.
(NB: some of these clips are large files and may take
a few minutes to load.)
The staff also describe the benefits and
flexibility of the course and how the element of choice has
resulted in students becoming more able to learn languages
independently at their own pace and with a greater level of
motivation and enthusiasm.
In this clip, Rachel Hawkes describes how the
teaching and planning of the CoPE International course differs from
other language classes and how the students shape the content
themselves.
In this clip, the teachers explain why they
enjoy teaching the course and how it how the students gain in
confidence throughout the two years.
