The CBLC is an OCR accredited qualification, available from
Entry Level to Advanced, giving students the opportunity to gain
confidence and competence when using their language skills in
authentic work-based situations.
Important information
In summer 2010, the current Business Language Competence
qualifications will be replaced with new NVQ qualifications*.
Centres do not need to change their training courses as both
qualifications are based on the National Language Standards.
However, you will need to apply for separate centre approval.
*but existing centres will be able to have candidates examined
until end July 2011 (last examiner visit requests
February 2011). Please note: the
new NVQ qualifications in languages will also be available at Entry
Level.
The CBLC is 100% externally assessed and is available in a range
of languages.
