Languages
Networks for Excellence (formerly the Black Country Pathfinder)
have produced a range of resources for the Certificate in Business
Language Competence (CBLC) at different levels in French, German,
Spanish, Italian, Russian and Japanese. Details of materials
currently available and prices for these can be found on their
website. They also run training courses for schools and colleges
who wish to set up a CBLC course or progress to a higher level
course.
The
Sunderland Schools MFL website has some materials for the CBLC
in German.
Penistone
Grammar School has some resources on their website which they
have developed specifically for the course..
BBC websites are a
very useful resource for basic business language and contain video
clips and accompanying exercises.
Often when delivering vocationally-related language/applied
courses, teachers will find that mainstream textbooks are just not
enough. However, there are some books which can be used to
supplement the resources you will have to make yourself.
