1
In this lesson Lizzie Hoskins is working with a KS4
class who are building up an NVQ portfolio at Level 1 based on the
National Language Standards. The students are preparing for a
speaking
assessment which involves working in pairs either as a customer
or sales assistant set in the work context of a shoe
shop.

In

son, two NVQ Level 3 students from the Sixth Form are
undertaking a listening assessment in Spanish about the expansion
of Malaga airport. The clip is interspersed with commentary from
the teacher explaining the skills which are required for
work-related language courses like NVQ and the differences between
