GCSE is still the main qualification offered by schools at Key
Stage 4, although according to CILT’s Language Trends research, schools using
alternative accreditations rose from 22% in 2006 to 47% in 2009.
GCSE courses are offered by AQA, Edexcel, OCR, CCEA and WJEC.
