This tutorial is designed to show teachers how
easy it is to produce a useful online working space where their
pupils can post messages in a moderated environment which
can be accessed at both school and home.
Wallwisher is an online
noticeboard where children can give feedback and share ideas
in the same place. Great for plenaries, modelling good examples and
Assessment for Learning opportunities, it can also be used for
setting homework where pupils answer a question covered in class
which they can then revisit later at home. Less confident pupils
have the opportunity to see what their peers have posted and adapt
good examples to produce their own versions.
What does the training consist of and
how long will it take me?
- There are three short video tutorials. These
tutorials offer step-by step guidance on how to create a Wallwisher
which is appropriate to use in and out of class. Each tutorial is
accompanied by a PDF transcript which can be printed out.
- It is recommended that the tutorials are
viewed in order and that colleagues copy the instructions
carefully. They can be used in a group or by individuals working
independently.
- The whole module will take between thirty
minutes and one hour and by the end of the module, the teacher
should be confident they can make a Wallwisher in their school or
college.
