The lcnet discussion forum is an e-mail discussion group created
especially for Language Colleges by CILT. The aim of the list is
primarily to enable discussion and information exchange on language
teaching but we would welcome participation by teachers in other
curriculum areas. Currently more than 250 people are members
of LCnet.
The discussion group enables members to:
- exchange ideas
- ask each other questions
- seek advice from peers
- comment on materials
- share problems and 'challenges'
- discuss issues and
- keep each other up-to-date.
We would like to hear about innovative practice and
things that are working well. Other topics of discussion could
include:
- Community aspects
- Uses of ICT
- Curriculum planning
- Assessment and examinations
- Alternative vocational qualifications
- Promoting the lesser-taught and community languages
- Staff development
- Information on materials
- Visits abroad
We hope to use the list not just as a discussion forum but also
as an information board from CILT to you, i.e. notices for seminars
and from user groups will be disseminated via the list.
Language Colleges can join by simply sending an e-mail message
that includes your name and the school you work at to Eriona.Brading@cilt.org.uk.
