The CILT Graduate Teacher Programme (GTP) gained
"outstanding" status, with a grade 1, in the full
Ofsted inspection in July 2009.

teenagers. My aim is to feed the students' curiosity about foreign

The CILT GTP is a teacher training programme for native speakers
of French, Spanish and German who want to teach languages in a
secondary setting. It is an employment-based route where day-to-day
work in school is combined with regular training sessions.
The programme takes one year and successful
completion leads to
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). We are an accredited
provider of Initial Teacher Education and have been providing GTP
training since 1998.
