The CILT Languages GTP is open to maintained secondary schools throughout England.

Your school must be:

• willing to employ a graduate teacher as a supernumerary (additional) member of staff.  (Note: this is essential to enable the quality of the training programme - your trainee should not be filling or covering a vacant post.) 
• able to offer a good training environment for a graduate teacher.
• able to nominate an experienced languages teacher as mentor for your graduate teacher
• able to offer your graduate teacher a timetable of languages classes in both KS3 and KS4 (ie including Year 10 or Year 11) 
• able to demonstrate evidence of quality in the languages department.
• able to offer access to ICT for your graduate teacher and mentor for personal and classroom use.
